Hotel Card Readers Use Reed Sensors for Detection

Card readers have come under increased use in hotels and a host of other card detection activities. With the dramatic increase in use, the quality and reliability have become big factors in shaping the technology used for card detection. Furthermore, power requirements can play an important role as well. Designers have chosen Reed Sensors to improve the quality, reliabillity and reduce power usage. Sensors and Relays used in a variety of security-related components such as in a safety belt of automobile, plane, or bus, fire and security doors as well electronic access controls like the key card used in hotel rooms.

Cargo & Freight Container Alarm Reed Sensor

Large truck containers and/or shipping, freight and cargo containers usually contain valuable equipment worth millions of dollars/euros. So they can attract interest of unsavory characters wanting none other than to steal the goods contained within the containers. To do this in the most efficient manner they must remove the entire container and/or truck. Truck/container designers working with MEDER's design engineers have come up with a single-component reed sensor that uses the influence of a steel casing to activate the sensor to prevent cargo theft....
