Project " Live Help for Africa" in Tanzania
Supporting the "Live Help for Africa" school and orphanage project
Beginning in 1997, MEDER electronics’ Werner Schwarz began his personal campaign in supporting orphan children from the African village of Tanzania, Kamishango (Kagera region), whose parents died of AIDS, with their daily living needs as well as the opportunity to attend school and vocational training. In the year 2000, Werner and 11 other members founded the organization “Live Help for Africa”, to further expand their aid efforts. Today, this organization has grown to over 150 members.
MEDER electronic has been proudly supporting the “Live Help for Africa” organization for many years, by providing charitable donations. This past year, MEDER employees collectively raised 1008,50 € from Christmas gifts they donated for auction and the company matched the funds raised for a combined total donation of 2100 €.

Clothing Drive for Nepal's Children
Singen/Hong Kong
Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world with about 42 percent of its people living below the poverty line. In October 2009, Katrin Meder personally organized a clothing drive for the children of Nepal. The clothing drive took place at MEDER electronic AG, in Singen Germany. Katrin visited the children's homes and distributed the much needed clothing.

The clothing drive was a huge success, thanks to everyone who participated with donations. It is these acts of kindness that warm the hearts and lives of many people who are less fortune.
Re-visiting Nepal's Children- May 2010
Continuing our social responsibilities efforts in Nepal, Katrin Meder re-visited the children of Nepal in Kathmandu for a period of 4 week in May.
The main goal of her visit was to support the local school which is currently attended by 350 orphans and children from poor families. The school charges approximately 3 EUR per month, in order for these children to have access to education. The 3 EUR is not nearly enough to cover the costs associated with running the school. The school is therefore dependent on donations to cover the additional operating costs. MEDER is proud to provide continued moral support as well as regular financial contributions.
Every small donation has a big impact on this poor community of children seeking an education that will lead them to a better future. If you have any interest in donating to this social project, please feel free to contact any MEDER locationor visit www.chibodia.org for more information.
